Author Bio
I was born and raised in Germany. As soon as I could read, I immersed into the adventures of the wonderful children’s classics from Enid Blyton and Lucy Maud Mongomery to the German audio plays of 'The Three Investigators’ (German: Die drei Fragezeichen).
In 2003, I came to explore the Canadian Rockies in Canmore, Alberta. Taking part in the Writing-with-Style Program at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 2007 encouraged me to follow my passion, beside cross-country skiing: to write for children.
My first novel Darinel Dragonhunter was followed by my second novel Darinel & the Dragons of Aquaria, which were both inspired by my deep love for classic children literature and fairy tales. The final novel Darinel & the Dragon in the cave took a bit longer to be published as I moved back to Germany.
Before writing children’s book, my writing outlet were various genre short stories for science fiction/fantasy movies and television shows.
Currently, I live in Germany, but still miss the magic of the Rocky Mountains and travel to my second home as often as possible.
